That's the point, the roof clears often.
What is on the ground is irrelevant.
But again if you read any of the cam threads here you would know all that already
And if you are unwilling to do that and want to continue to blather on from an entirely ill informed position then any further dickery will be ignored
And if you persist chances are, and I'm only guessing, the moderator of the forums being the person you just insulted already will tire of it and you and may loose the ability to continue posting in this forum for some period.

Anymore cam questions will have to be taken up in the cam threads if you are seeking a reply on the topic.

    Like a big dream

Nice banter but it's no longer summer so I think I will make the move to the winter forums

Hope I made my point clear

Winter thread is heavily moderated because it appears at the bottom of the snow report pages.

It's a bloody good effort isn't it. Should probably be left for posterity. He/she's pretty much pulled all the main players into the fray. I have a vivid picture in my head of a teenage kid with a maniacal laugh attacking the keyboard with passion.

I really hope nobody thinks it's a thread of genuine posts ROFL

The sugar-high one is trolling without doubt, but also achieved to highlight numerous problems many people have with the RMB. This thread delivered

100% dead serious. You say you know the place better than many, how can you not know that this is a regular occurrence? I wasn't bringing up the ridiculous gate situation just for the hell of it. how can you be so ignorant? I thought the RMB was doing a great job!??

You got it nearly perfect except I am not a teen, I am a decade past that.
It's okay but I am more of a ABOM or Cattlemans kind of guy.

Why would I be that guy who pretends to be the offical voice of BSL on these forums.
    Ignorance doesn't come into it.
Don't know who this guy is but I am guessing he would be a 'Buller regular'

Well it's just gone below zero according the the AWS, the radar looks pornographic, if only there was a way we could visually see if snow was falling in the village???

How can a radar be pornographic????
I like to see a cam of the slope (where you actually ski) in daytime (so you can see the view)
AWS and the snow guages cover the accurate measurements. I base my decisions to go up on the actual depth, forecast and reports from family and friends and the forum, not a single cam which aims to a building

    No friends on pow day.

I have to ask exactly what you think the snow cams are for.
I suspect its the same thing that RMB and BSL marketing think they are for, and both couldn't be more wrong.

    Thursday Night!!!!
Exactly what you would do in the village, where your cam is set up.
Thanks for the guidance but I take the guidance of tech
Claps to you. Someone finds me funny :deadhorse:
    I appreciate you

No they're not, that's how we did it since there was phones on Buller, asked people up there, it doesn't work, people are hopeless when it comes to reporting conditions including staff and family members.

Buller could have a cam pointing at a snow stake and a rain gauge next to each other, with a little sign on the rain gauge that says, "It's a westerly fuc*ker, what did you expect".

Why spend 1500 on a cam, when you pay 500 for a electronic snow stake

In the trees but if you can get an inexpensive cam that does the same job as a electronic snow stake, I concede

Wont do much good in the trees.
Not many places you can stick a snow gauge because of wind too or snow making, aside from the village
