    Hi all,

I have a trip to Niseko coming up early Feb for 8 days and was planning on bringing my skis from Australia.

I have a set of Volkl skis that are 74cm underfoot and just wanting to know if these would work well enough for the groomed runs in Niseko?

Note I am an intermediate skiier and a little bit unfit (but working on it!).

    Thanks

My first couple of trips to Japan were on race skis, 68cm under foot. Then a couple of trips with 80 cm under foot. If you're planning on piste you'll be fine.

Don't overthink it. You'll be fine. And worse case scenario, you can hire some fatter skis if you feel the need.

If you are not super attached to them you could just hire, it may give you a chance to try something different and less baggage.
That said I always take my skis but mainly for touring.
You can also courier your skis to the resort from the airport if needed.
