Howdy. We are 3 families (13 people total) looking to book next Jan in Silverthorne area for 9 days.
    We could...
    - Get the bus everywhere
    - get the bus/uber/taxi
    - hire 2 mini vans
    - hire 1 Ford Transit van (15 seater).

I've thought transit van and got a couple of quotes, and they are that high that it works out cheaper to get 2 mini vans for the 9 days.

Any deals, leads for car hire, comment on the roads or general tips?
The one question I really have is how do you get to the hill in your hire car/van with 12 sets of skis as well as squeezing everyone in?

    My thoughts
    • If you are staying in Silverthorne your own transport will be useful to get to the actual hills.
    • Having 2 vehicles means you all don't have to go to the same place on the same day.
    • The roads will be fine. I70 is a main drag and is ploughed very efficiently.
    • Plan your holiday so you are not on I70 on Sunday afternoon/evening.

Yeah, 2 cars sounds like a better plan.
