Here’s a few pics taken today to get the thread moving on a little......
Just a short walk up to Stillwell, out towards the ruins then back into the village. Nice weather (albeit some smoke haze) and not too many marchies!
View from our lodge today (SASC). Renovations in progress. Great weather and noted folks setting up for a wedding at lodge next to the Chalet. Wonderful spot for that I reckon!
Busiest I’ve ever seen this time of year..... staying on mountain so no probs for us. But others....,.,
Cars parked back down the road past Guthrie’s!! The point where we often park to skin up to the trig!!
Free entertainment on one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year. Why not!
"Weekend Getaway" from all your Sydney/Canberra neighbours...not!
We just did a short walk out to the old chair ruins. 10kms return. Walked from the village base so no parking issues here. Then down to Alpine Eyre for a latish lunch. A few folks but nothing silly. They were all heading to Kosi or Blue Lake.
They had the chair running at Charlotte’s?
By the look of all those cars it was probably a good idea, wow that's a lot of cars. I bet Thredbo was full too. Mt Kosi must of been very crowded.
Lots of people down the south coast too, good weather always helps.
Not a lot of folks using it. Some friends of mine caught it back down the hill for 5 bucks. Limited hours from around 10:00 am till 2:00 pm. But nice to see it operating.
Charlottes has commercial opportunities that need to be explored and capitalised on in the coming years....
Just a mugs opinion though...
Good stuff . Finally cp seem to be getting it but a half baked approach isn’t good enough . We stayed there last Easter and were amazed at the cars lined up all the way down past the entrance to cp . Their is a huge opportunity for them to make it known that the chalet is open with food and entertainment and chair all day . There is an Motza to be made at Easter if they do it right rather than hoping that people notice that they want them there
