Catching up on work at the moment...... might poke head outside of bear cave this afternoon. Have been convinced by lodge management to hang around until scheduled departure on Friday morning

Johnnies Plain and Wrights Creek yesterday. Johnnies Plain was fully covered on Sunday. Have not looked today ....

I was really cross at Perisher's delay in Skitube bookings, I would have got there one way or another.

I'm not sure CP made any money this year, a short season, fewer punters, fortunately we got a good dump as we arrived. I booked in late February and the oversnow in early June so I was locked in.

sorry @rowdyflat for my one day at CP this year, weather was bluebird, cover extensive and crowd's minimal. Although Guthrie's remained firm. Although TBB had the best week of the year I reckon I had the best last conditions of the year.
Sorry once again you missed out this year. Means a longer stay next year for you.

Glad you’re enjoying a Fozzie. This was the week my mate & I were heading to Stillwell. Would have said hello, shared a beer at least. Maybe a race down the chair line? Compare ski speed - ha ha! :D

Will have to keep it for next year? Hopefully with better snow.
It sounds like one has to head up into the alpine terrain ATM for decent BC cover?

On the positive side, I won’t to have to ‘summer wax’ my pristine Voile bases. :p

Yep, turned right leaving Bullocks Flat rather than left. Stood at the border at Tom Groggin. Views of western faces from Scammels were fabulous.

Nice snow this morning up here at CP. Groomers were in good knick early on, cold breeze help sustain a sugary top layer. Less sun today helpful too. Guthrie's skied great too. Today surprised on the upside. Hopefully not too much rain tonight.

Back this eve after my first winter trip to CP . Previous was NYE mid 80s ish.
Loved it . Although you can bomb all the groomers in under the hour it’s off piste little bits along with the ease of trip to the MRange that make the fun . Had a ski with @Fozzie Bear  and shared many with my long time bud.

Not sure ...didn’t climb anywhere there but did several wide excursions. Did like the stuff going from top a the T to the bottom of it through the rocks and trees ..in general.. stuff between T and the Poma.. And all the little steep several turn pitches about .Lapping Guthrie’s quickly is fun .

Quick end to the season. @chicski with the thinning base, I don't think I can be bothered heading down. Would have to be an epic snowfall over the next couple of days to make it worthwhile.

I was wondering why there was no "snow report" on the radio this morning! It's literally insane that Perisher refuses to take part: they're now advertising Epics on the stations, but they won't do daily snow reports?!

No I can't stand Snow FM, I tune in to XLFM (and can't stand the early morning announcer, though at least they play real music).

Got a bit of a look at CP today from Betts Creek. Have to say feeling a little bit bummed CP couldn't have run the lifts this last week end, Monday and today. I know they copped a flogging from the warm weather and rain earlier in the month. But looks quite ok even today, at least from afar. Certainly some tracks evident down the face of the bowl, and better coverage than early in the July schoolies.

I guess it wasn't financially viable to retain staff over what would have been a few days of no operations, just for a handful of season pass holders to ski. Sigh.

Would be a very thin base. For 2 x 1 week trips, I didn't ski The Pass once as was too much of a rock garden.

2021 Might be the year I take the oversnow cat thingie and stay at C.P. for a few days. What with little chance of jetting off abroad and almost no skiing in 2020 in Vic. or NSW , I need to ski double next season !!!

CP is awesome and friendly but its not cheap to get there.
Come to Pygmy Possum provided you dont discuss the Victorian lockdown , hopefully a distant memory by then.
