Apologies guys didn’t realise CPV was being difficult, I also bet there will be no discounts on the head lease from NPWS or lodge fees from CPV. I know our lodge has refunded booking money
What concerns me is how many more lodges will be unable to pay and will become acquired by the Blyton group
Not too different when Gillo had the place .......... Kosi Chalet was just given a big upgrade and was short of cash until the season started , he then hit them with a contribution fee for the road . The rest is history .

Wanted to carry funds forward to next year as a credit, but they never responded to my emails.

Worth a try. :)

They will offer you a credit for next year. They are taking 6 + weeks to respond to emails but get there in the end. Alternative, if paid by credit card, lodge a disputed charge on basis that service could not be provided due to government health orders.

In probably one of the last posts of 2021 on here, here are some photos I took in and around Charlotte Pass while walking to Kosi. It was very green and very sunny. Parking was busier than I've ever seen it before. Kosi summit was packed

I note Thredbo to Kosi was as busy as I’ve ever seen it on the 28th Dec.

Total numbers over the day would easily have been in the several hundreds. Possibly topping the grand.

(I don’t know the official no’s.) KT lift co. would have been pretty happy with the Xmas/NY no’s. Overall.

Especially since you can't buy the single trip tickets anymore (at least not online when I tried it) so the chair rides are $50+ now. Granted that includes the Merritts Gondola but not everyone who goes to Kosi is going to Merritts (and those who do are going to spend more money at the Mountain House). KT would be very happy indeed, and they'll be more happy next year, and even happier the next... it's not going to slow down. I'm curious how things will change when the new Snowgums goes in because of its less convenient top station position for hikers, but that's a conversation for the Thredbo thread. I do wonder how many people were at Charlotte Pass ditching the Thredbo lift ticket fee like I was (plus I think I prefer the Charlotte-Kosi walk anyway)

Was up at CP from Sunday until yesterday. Traffic parked well down road from turning circle everyday. Much busier than same time last year.

Wow, seems like the NP need to install a shuttle bus from CP village to the saddle during peak holiday periods. Having parked along the road mid November - it’s not all that user or Environmentally friendly parking with one wheel in the rough, steepish & crumbling drops in sections.

I would have thought park boffins could think of a better way?

Wot???? And then Blyton Group would need to seal the CP car park. And if you are staying at a lodge in CP it is already a shyte fight for a reasonable parking spot.

And we walked from CP village to the turning circle as no guarantee of a parking spot and didn't want to lose rock star parking back in village.

Potentially a trial of a shuttle service over Easter - Perisher car park to CP turning circle. More a chance for Transport NSW to give the winter shuttle service a test run given it only got a one day trail last season before the COVID shut down. Not fully locked in yet but discussions started.
