Got a group of 7 friends coming with me on the 10th of august who need to hire gear.
    ive never hired before.
where is the cheapest place to hire and also where is the best?
also is it cheaper to hire at the bottom of the mountain and take it up with us? or just get up there? ease of access is to just do it up there but yeah. just checking.
all for 25yo+ male and female

    thanks

Central Snowsports is probably the cheapest but boots are also probably the most basic from what I've seen over the last few years.

I would hirer on mountain that's assuming you are staying over night.
It may cost a bit more but you don't have the hassle of getting all the gear to and from where you are staying. Also if the gear breaks or is the wrong size you can get it changed,
Check with where you are staying most places will have some sort of deal with one of the hirer places some sort of discount.

2nd Kiewa Valley Ski hire in Mt Beauty. Only issue is being off mountain if you have problems.

Falls Creek sports is convienient as they're all over the village but defs would be the cheapest.

With 7 guys hiring for the weekend I'd also be trying to get a good deal.

Central snowsports are the best imo, any problems you can go back and change them.

Depends upon where you are staying on the mountain:

For convenience, probably FC Snowsports (because they have a number of outlets probably closest if you are in the Village bowl, Gebis or at QT)

I would recommend Koki - book online for a 15% discount. I use them for my skis as well as the kids. Good gear, great knowledge as well. Ben, Steve or Vesna will look after you. They will also deliver to your lodgings - if you ask politely [IMG]

If hiring off mountain, Keiwa Valley are great. Problem is you have to cart all the gear up the hill in the car if you don't have ski racks.
