    really keen to try my new xc skis but I see there is a festival of chook footing over the next week. Will the trails still be open and will they be crazy busy? If nothing else I guess they’ll all be groomed nicely!

    @Telemark Phat do you know?

    You can expect grooming.

    Busyness will be variable. There will be room for you.

    There are races that will be;
    • Possibly interesting to watch?
    • Will clog up the track.
    • You will kick arse in.:)
    They should be timetabled here.

    I will plan around races. I’m hoping to improve my downhill with free heels technique beyond ploughing ;)

    Great time to be out on the trails. Generally the best grooming of the winter during race week. Don't worry about races, they'll ask for track and just move over to let them overtake. If I get over my cold you'll be able to laugh at me during a couple of the races.
