Is it too soon for a predictions Thread for Christmas day? I will be in Jindy - where will everyone else be?
Swimming in a local rock pool & making seafood lunch: after a long time! Not many Xmas'es spent locally for me!
In a plane headed north. I predict it'll be far too hot prior to take off and then far too cold and dry once airborne. 'I can haz blanket?'
fingers crossed for you I did xmas in NYC a few years ago, no trace of snow Montreal had snow on New Year's Day
Last Christmas I was considering doing some turns on the NSW mainrange. Instead I settled for making a snowman Christmas lunch this year is at my place, so I'll have to forgo the banquet on top of Mt Kosci
At home with family and then christmas night jumping on a plane to Canada. Coincidentally the same one LMB will be on to Japan
With the family in Brighton. Weather is the same every year. 22 deg, cloudy in the morning and a bit windy and everyone saying its never nice on Xmas day. Sun will come out in the arvo and be lovely, everyone forgets this because of to much indulgence during lunch. Happens every year
We might have to swing over in the evening? We have a second lunch on Boxing Day with more relo's so can't escape til after.
Awwww man! I'm sorry. Highly likely to be superheated Only recall 2 cool/rainy Christmas days. Bring good sunscreen.
Perth is usually OK on Xmas day, and then turns on the heat for Boxing day. OK in perth being low 30's. I'm in melbs and it will be a cool grey morn giving way to lovely partially clear afternoon! and i will be grumpy about not being able to sleep in
We alternate venues for Christmas. The joke is that whenever its in Wollongong it rains. In land its a scorcher! And last time it was in Jindy we had the slip and slide out!
Last year for me was a 6.5 hour drive from Shepparton to Traralgon (should be 4.5 hours but Melbourne lunchtime traffic). Both sides were typical of that time of year. Shepparton warm and dry, Traralgon cloudy and slightly damp. Fortunately it will only be a Wallan to Traralgon drive this year, and I'm expecting low 20's and partly cloudy as per usual. Warming up to low to mid 30s over New Year's (also typical).
I predict that I will see silly people doing silly things all over town on christmas eve. Something happens to many peoples brains - they just turn into crazies. On christmas morning we will be on the beach for swim, surf and breakfast, then home for a long afternoon of family, food and beverage.
I think it's at least another week before we can make any sort of call on the weather over the christmas period.
Did it rain last year? We were there on xmas eve and back again on boxing day, was sunny everywhere except Kiama.
Last year was pretty warm in Sydney - first decent one in a while from memory. Hoping for the same again this year
26 degree max for Perth! That's the chilliest Christmas we've had in a while. In fact...all of December has been mild. Not that I'm complaining!!!
Manly still pumping now - iPhone pics won't do it justice but a very nice left bank into the corner at S Steyne. The odd fat one off Manly point, even the odd one out Bower.....still a good 3-4 foot on the sets
