Tis a beautiful thing . . . . .
We have Wind and rain hammering down in the NE of Melbourne now. I am glad I went cycling yesterday .
Snow is falling at Baw Baw. The snow cameras show flakes falling in mid air now.
Get the op shop rock hopper XC skis ready for Baw Baw today. It looks like we have some snow settling. It only needs 10 cms for Baw Baw to be rock hopper XC ski able. In a perfect world we would not all be under house arrest . This is a vicarious thrill seeing some snow falling.
Bawbs copped it from the trough judging by those cam updates
It has started snowing at Mt.Stirling too, another Mr.T. favourite place for chook footing.
Snow falling and settling at Mt.Stirling.
Mum's heading up to perisher now. Although south perisher cam doesn't look promising.
Baw Baw is still looking a bit white along the summit route .
Then it all melts like it always does and we're back into warm weather.
Yes, mid 20's here in Melbourne next week.
Went for some exercise. Walk ranging from about 1600 to 1800 ASL. Temps at 0 to 2 degrees. Wind and driving small hail. Love the Arc’teryx gear in those conditions.
Starting to stick around 1700 and, just a little snow now falling.
Pretty much done and 'dusted' in the next hour or two, for both alpine regions IMO.
Mum went for a drive.
Snow in the car window!
A windy and now cold afternoon here at Wandella (near Cobargo) winds generally 60 - 80 kmh, peak gust in the last blast 100 kmh according to my VP2.
That's enough for today.
[Mod Edit - duplicate cross post]
You know the Grasshopper personally?
I don't listen to anyone except for BOM, Bureau Of Meteorology. They're the experts.
Stay on topic.
South Perisher cam looking pretty tonight!
Mum and dad went for a drive to perisher this morning.
Maybe you could introduce him to these forums? Oh wait.....
I observe my granddaughter enjoying the last little bit of snow from yesterday.
