GFS00z was going off again in a fortnight with a deep complex system.
Not sure where you guys are posting futures this early.
Hotham is getting some good love according to their Instagram:
Looks like Falls and Hotham have both got a few cms.
Taken at 1805hrs looking NE towards Yarra Glen
Quite literally the origins of mother's milk.
SouPeri opening the account for the year, with a dusting on nightfall:
The dogs look absolutely pumped for the weather!
Buller Village Square looking beautiful at night with a few cms on top:
Observed sleet showers around 3 AM (yep, I stayed-up all night watching this!), with hardly a trace of the wet stuff—i.e. scarcely even 0.2 cm on measure @ 1,265 m. I don't reckon the snow level even dropped below the 1,200 m mark, either. Got much more snow (and proper snow) in December 2019 than I did now...but that probably says more about that event than this one.
However, I will not call this a fizzer in the slightest, because I have at least received a healthy precipitation reading amounting to 21.7 mm since yesterday; I'm happy with that!
Morning all base on the avic cams I won’t call this a fizzier down south.
I can’t see BBaw cams well enough yet, but it almost looks like a careful toboggan is possible at Buller.
Thredbo, looking nice at the top:
On the PV side.......
More ice than anything. A few tricky spots on Kosi Road.
Currently around zero, windy as with a bit of fog...ute getting blown about in the wind.
Ground cooling commenced though....
I observe that the Hogan Island anemometer is still intact (just).
At hotham 2_3cm wet snow before 8pm. Temp then dropped and dried things out and was blowing a little dry snow over the top. Seemed to have turned pretty damp overnight though, pretty slick underfoot now, with light with freezing r@!# falling.
Would’ve been up in Bright this week....
**** you corona.
