Public Transport is exempt from the more than 500 ban, as are amusement parks, shopping centres and restaurants/food courts. So I'd say that that surely would cover ski resorts.

June is a long time away. There might not even be Coronavirus by then.

Yep, I thought it was a little odd. I think it’s a bit like here, not wanting to cancel the GP because so many $$$$ involved. Same in BC, closing down the resorts would really hurt the economy, so they are keen to keep it going even though they know it probably doesn’t make sense

And the cafes, bars, lodges, even some lifts. It is the resorts rather than the slopes themselves that are a worry

Everyone needs to put the doom pills on hold for a while. It is mid March and we are still just under 3 months away from season opening and probably 4 -5 months from when most will get on the hills so a lot of different scenarios could play out between now and then. Personally I am going skiing ,not using the skitube ,not going indoors whenever practical ,doing my business in a bag if necessary ,taking my own food/beverages ,drinking lots of water and finding less packed runs even if they arent the most desirable.

The info I have on contracting this virus is that as long as your sensible and maybe go hyper on the hygiene caper while avoiding PROLONGED exposure to crowded areas you should have a better than average chance of avoiding this little bug while still enjoying yourself. Info received states that you need a medium length exposure (10-15 minutes is quoted but how that is determined I dont know) and/or poor hygiene (not washing hands etc) to contract the virus. Apparently staying hyper hydrated helps as well although that probably brings its own side effects.

Tell that to the staff that they need for the running of the Hill.

The shape of coronavirus makes it a natural snow nucleator.

    2020 5metres.
