Our regular dog sitter has fallen through.
We are due to be up for 2 weeks in August and the cost of kenneling in Melbourne is sky high. He would absolutely love the snow but we can’t have him at our accom and he doesn’t have an alpine permit.
Has anyone used or can recommend any kennelling service in Bright or surrounds area?

Admin: I put this in the Hotham section too, I hope this is alright.

They’d have to be something around. Even as far back as Seymour or Wangratta.

Pretty sure there is one in Porepunkah but would much prefer one based on someones recommendation.
Especially for a 2 week stint.

I haven't used kennels for over a decade. Aspens at Porepunkah was quite good then IMHO but some people have since told me that they don't think much of it. They may have unrealistic expectations. IIRC @SuskiQ had used them happily in recent times.

I've also heard good things about a place near Chilton - can't recall the name but might be worth googling.

    Where are you travelling from?

Eg if from Melb, clearly you have more options compared to kennels around Falls/Hotham

Coach House Boarding Kennell and cattery is very good. Just off the Freeway in Broadford. We've had our puppa going there for ~10 years after being reccomended to us by Old Chopps and his wife who had their dog there for probably 10 years also. They're a bit cheaper than city prices.

Can vouch for Murray Valley Pet Resort in Barnawatha, bit out of the way though.
