We've been out of stock of Douchebags for a couple of weeks which is annoying as they're our best selling product!

    http://aussieskier.com/collections/douchebags

We just got a massive delivery a few days ago and we've been working hard to unpack them and get them all on the website. On another note can someone cart the cardboard away!!!!

There's a cool new colour Crimson Red across the range and 2 new models, 'The Affair' which is a cool weekend / gym bag and the 'Little Bastard' 60L which is a roller bag in a more manageable size for women / kids or people who just don't need the fill 90L of the Big Bastard.

Also we've decided to keep the Double Ski Bag at last year's price of $329 instead of going up to the new RRP of $349 - we sell enough of these that we've decided to absorb the price rise to keep the ball rolling.

I was reading some articles in a grown-ups site last night, and an Aussie Skier ad popped up.

out of curiosity, if the removable handle is lost or stolen, can replacement handles be purchased?

weve been using a cable lock to lock ours on, but thats a pain in the butt, so looking at using zip ties.

our concern is if the bags are manhandled in transit (by our luggage handlers you say? nooo way!!! LOL) and the handle comes off.

I cant picture anyone wanting to actually steal a handle, unless that's your source for spare handles! LOL

Out of the 300-odd bags I've sold I think I've had to replace one handle, which I think we took off a warranty.

So it's unlikely buy definitely possible.

when we were recently travelling through LAX, we had the handle locked on, and those clever customs people cut the lock off because it wasnt an ESTA lock, despite the fact that it didnt actually lock the bag up.

they then opening it at the other end for a peek inside and left me with a cut lock in the bag

How many pairs of skis can you get inside a Douchebag? Thinking buying another pair of skis and poles in Japan and trying to get them home...

You can squeeze 3 pairs in if they're relatively narrow and don't have big riser plates etc - that gets you up near the max 32kg limit though. You can get 2 pairs of just about anything else in plus room for soft stuff - except maybe 2 pairs of enormous, very rockered pow skis.

What's the purpose of the removable handle in the design?

So you can shorten the bag to the length of your skis which removes all sag and makes it roll nicely.

So, do you take the handle off to shorten the bag etc., then put it back on once fully packed to size? Ok, just found a video, see how it works now.

Yep - and you can also roll it up so it doesn't take up half your hotel room / garage

It's like inception. It's bags to carry bags.

I have lots of bags. They're on my brain.

Though I've got a few less than I did this morning which is good.

We've also got some explodey bags that cost 2 grand. Wow.

I've noticed! I clicked on the link because I wondered what an "explody bag" was, and am now repeatedly asked if I want to part with half my bank account to purchase said explody bag.

Meanwhile ... has anyone tried the other (non-ski) bags in the range? I'm thinking of updating our luggage and liking the idea of being able to piggyback the bags onto each other when navigating the airport. How does that go in practice - I'm worried it might get too heavy or awkward?

I already have the regular DB for skis and board.

The Huggers work well as they put all the weight down low over the wheels.

They're not a particularly ergonomic bag in terms of shoulder straps etc but again like the DB the main goal is to save weight. The 15L is a good daily/laptop bag that can fit your lunch and gym clothes or whatever, the 30L is carry on size, I use it a lot when going away for weekends etc, the 60L is a bit of a funny size, neither here nor there and the one we sell the least of. 90L is your full size roller bag to go away with. No experience with the Little Bastard or the Affair yet.

It only takes picking it up at oversize with one of the 4 hooks unattached to get panicky about losing a precious handle!
Hmmm that's got me thinking - a pinkish handle on a black bag.... Lush!!

sorry for the odd bag there Aussieskier -but the douchebags performed admirably.

(The odd one was only because we needed an extra bag and there were no douchebags available in SP)

Lolz @gareth_oau! I thought we were bad!

Our DB, DB Hugger and DB Big Bastard worked a treat. Until some guy at Salt Lake City checkin asks me what brand of bag it is "because it looks awesome". So I was forced to mumble an answer while a crowd of interested onlookers eavesdropped
