All Weather is different to the old All Season. Have a read about Nokian WR G2 or G3 series. Leave them on all year.

Read up on them a bit and they still seem to be a compromise, slightly better than all seasons but not as ideal for winter condition dedicated winter rubber.

When we lived at alpine levels where 6 inches of snow in July was not uncommon on a twisty mountain road, we ran with Winters all year.

Now that we live in the Okanagan Valley, our needs have changed,.... The Nokians we have on our AWD are ideal for our purpose and we can run that rubber all year round with confidence.

When it comes time to change them out, we'll switch to the new Nokian WR G4 all weather..... & they ARE rated with the mountain/snowflake symbol as an all weather tire.

Nokian have many all-weather tyre options that are designed for year round use
Here are two of them……….

Here's some video of what's going on while you're stuck in Revelstoke or Golden with the highway closed for avalanche work. Rogers Pass has many avalanche paths that impact the highway, but the one in the video, located just east of the pass summit is the largest of all. Four snowsheds are required to afford the highway a safe crossing.
