Hey guys, a simple " I can't see anything" would have been sufficient, rather than a bunch of smart @rse comments. I only asked b/c a lot of you seem to be excellent at long-range forecasting. Think I'll give this forum a miss from now on.

I locked that thread because there were too many smart @rsed comments to your original post.

Anyway, the discussion can continue in THIS thread. I would like to invite you to come back and continue to post in this forum.

BTW, who is this "very reliable source"? The lack of the actual scource is what provoked the comments in the first place. Many seemed to suspect that it was John Moore.

It was just odd that a 'reliable' source had trouble forecasting for a couple of years but then knows what will happen this June.

May I ask, what methods does your friend uses to gather his information?

    Thanks Sandy...

The "source" as you put it is a cousin of my partner who is a farmer outside Seymour, no NOT John Moore. He is pretty laid back, but as best as I can work out, he looks at trends and uses the same info/charts/computermodels as you guys.. hence the question in this forum. AFAIK, he doesn't even know the existence of this forum.
His overall impression is one of a wet, cold winter... hopefully this translates into a good snow year!! I'm seeing him on the 21st May, so I'll ask him then about his method of forecasting. Until I found out the existence of this forum, I didn't really care how he arrived at his conclusions, I was just happy to use them when I could!!
