Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has had experience with children as guests in this lounge when booked through Qantas? Evidently children count as guests and only one guest is allowed.....Im just wondering if this is likely to be policed as my wife and I will be travelling with our 3 and 6 year olds with only one QC membership. Thanks in advance.

I would say you are struggling. With emirates any children count as guests so you would need 2 x passes/QC memberships each with a guest. You might get lucky but unlikely. My wife recently got refused for having thongs on even though she was a member

My one experience of Dubai lounge on a Qantas ticket is that they enforce their rules to the letter and rigorously.

U could consider a QC partnership membership for ur wife. It’s about half the cost of normal membership. If ur flying a bit with the kids it’s worth it

There are numerous lounges scattered around the terminal . If you get knocked back at one try another .

$50US/kid if they can't get in on your ticket or not frequent flyers - about what ours eat anyway in random calories at any restaurant.

Yeah the partner option for $350 is looking worth it, its likely she will fly a few times without me in the next year anyway.

Yeah don't mess with those pesky Arab states. They have ways of dealing with people who don't play by the rules. :axe:

They had to change that one as so many professionals are required to wear some sort of high vis these days.

Either way I still think standards are a good thing.

    Same.
Even on aeroplanes I still dress well.
Thongs are a massive no no.

    Mutually exclusive IMO

Of course. But that sort of thinking requires common sense which we know is not very common.

Kinda like going to a Muslim country and complaining about dress standards ...

But we’re not doing that are we?

Seeing that a kilt is formal Scottish dress I’m fairly sure that the Emiratis won’t mind too much if you want to wear one in the airport lounge.

You aren’t required to wear it at the airport or in the plane though

I’m sure that’s the case but from what I see daily you wouldn’t know it.
