I was talking to bloke who said he buys an Epic pass and then gives all six 'Bring A Mate' days to his wife to purchase, and she gets to take up the invitations at a discounted rate.
Now the website says the maximum discount is 50%, but they don't tell you the minimum discount.
Anyone that has used the Bring A Mate option was it any good? did you really save?
Did anyone do it a day or two before going, how much did you save?
Can you use it on any day or do you have to lock a date in?

The discount depends on the day and season. For example a Saturday in August might get you $10. Mid week more.
You just email the invites to your mates who then use them to buy tickets online. Plenty of people giving them away on various FB groups.

It was good few years back , free days even in early Freedom Pass land , but now the " mate rate " is variable.
You won't know what you going to get till you go to book .
Mid week days vary also and as you can imagine offer the better discounts.
Still better than full freight , but think only as a bonus , not as a given.
    IMO.

I don't think they get them. I remember going looking for some with my daughter's pass last year and couldn't;t find them. Mind you it's an effort to find even your own.

Nope, it's all good - you get the same number of invites on kids passes as adult passes (well last year anyway). And from memory not restricted to other kids tickets (ie. kids invites can be used to buy adult tickets).
