I didn't have to do that because we had converted to epic this year so they had that info. When it wouldn't let me accept the removal of liability, after many attempts, i logged out and back in. That got me through that bit. There were still a few more problems but got there in the end.

This is a truly dreadful system. I get that this is a busy time, but even so, the number of concurrent users can't be that high. Poorly designed and sfa volume testing.

I had the same issue trying to book/buy lessons back in July. Just stalled on the billing page and wouldn’t move on.

I really need to get on and lock in our Epic passes but I’m not keen based on the website experience.

Yeah their system is shite, I had similar issues last year. You will probably have to call them tomorrow to sort it out.

I just purchased the pass via the Falls Creek website and literally took less than 5 minutes.
    Bring on 2020.

Yeah I should have clarified. Via Falls Creek links to Epic page.
Was really easy but I didn’t have to complete any updates, etc. Just one pass for myself, probably made the process pretty simples. Good Luck.

tick a box to say you've read and accepted and click a button to "sign" => failure message
    it worked eventually

i suspect most of the weird failures were timeouts that were not allowed for in the design/coding

My profile was transferred from the Hotham ticket office, and it looks like they have broken some links between profiles in the transfer process.

If I log into the Hotham online store, I can see my family members linked to my profile.

If I log into the Epic Australia store, I see my profile, but not my family members.

I was not able to add my family members to my profile. It fails (nothing happens) when trying to add family members to assign to passes.

My wife logged in with her profile (also transferred from the Hotham store) to the Epic Australia store. It showed her and the kids, but not me.

Looks like in the transfer process, they have broken the link between her profile and mine. But also, I cannot add new family members, because profiles with the same name and DOB already exist.

It worked if we put through 2 transactions, one for just me, and one for the wife and kids.

    Unnecessarily difficult!

    Oh yeah. Duh!

I was still on Hero, so I haven't changed over to the thought that it is now Vail owned.

    Easy
Seems to be linked with my Hotham account as my photo was from there from a few years back

As it's Perisher running the site they don't accept American Express

    Epic FAIL

Perisher stopped accepting Amex a few years back

    Vail resorts accept Amex.

Falls creek and Hotham ski lift co. Accept Amex

Crappy tactics but they never said it would actually go up. Experience relayed earlier in the thread said it probably wouldn't go up for a while or by much, except for skitube.

    Well they did

Last chance to lock in your pass for the lowest price is TONIGHT!

The ACCC would take a dim view of that

I assume the price will slightly rise sometime today

I doubt the ACCC would be concerned IMHO as despite the fact the advertising is technically misleading there is no harm to consumers who relied on the representation and in fact by extending the lower price offer its could be seen to be beneficial to punters. I assume Vail would argue its still 10 September in some parts of the world:cool:

ok, hadn't realised. the earlier advertising said something like lock in guaranteed lowest price. I haven't been reading any lately to note the change.

Would not surprise me noting how little Perisher/Vail seem to invest in IT that someone in the marketing or finance dept logged on this morning and said “sh#t it’s still showing $829 quick flick the switch!”

Eh, changing the price at 8:45AM instead of midnight meant that I was still able to buy it for $829 - so count me amongst the suckered in folks :D.

I figured that the reason for the delay was to allow for Perth to hit midnight before switching it over. What's Australia's westernmost territorial time zone?

guessing they want to put a sense of urgency into the purchase without putting the price up enough to scare off people who would have bought at the original price. the skitube thing must have worked for perisher but not much use for vic skiers

I emailed the EPIC Aus pass team today about the under-5s pass. They confirmed that the only benefit of that is not having to go to the ticket window to have days put on the pass. If it carried the discounts on lessons at least, I might consider it, but nope - it's a 900% premium over the base fee, simply to avoid going to a ticket window every now and then.

is still showing $829 adults and $469 kids when you click on the Buy Now button. Same base prices I bought my 2A2C for last night at 6pm.
    So no price rise yet.
Adding pass protection still takes the adult price to $849 and the kids to $484.
So get in at the lowest price while you can if you want to commit now...of course it may just be a Furphy and not rise until they get enough sold.
    Supply and demand.....supply and demand.

@southpaw Nah, just sloppy website maintenance. They have gone back on their word, they said it would rise! Still, good for those who decide to buy today. I think Vail can afford to spare a few bucks for we poor Aussie sliders.
