Hi I am a crazy Queenslander who kept his Epic Pass expecting to ski on weekdays in early August. Can anyone confirm lift access has been available for Epic Pass on weekdays with no need to reserve first? Don't want to drive down and find out bad news.

Re Reservations and lift ticket purchases - should VR use a ballot system? They know who we are and when we visited. How about a registration of interest system with first issue of tickets/access given to those whose haven't yet skied this season?

sorry to be a wet blanket but
    • Vail have said Mon-Fri will be ok after 19 July. However dates they set in the past were not met. Maybe they will meet this one because there is more snow. How lucky do you feel?
    • Vail has not exactly shone with respect to tweaking their IT systems up and having them work reliably, so I think your ballot idea is somewhat unlikely
    • You will also run the risk of having to quarantine at your own expense if the NSW outbreaks get worse

Woohoo! After a whopping 70cm of fresh snow, pass holders are no longer required to make access reservations to visit Perisher.

An incredible natural snowfall has allowed the Perisher team to open additional lifts and terrain with all four resort areas now open. We are excited to announce that guests with an Epic Australia Pass, Epic Pass or Epic Military Pass are no longer required to make pass access reservations to visit Perisher.

As we continue to monitor COVID-19 in Australia and align with public health recommendations, we may have to re-introduce pass holder access reservations at a later date if it is deemed necessary to keep our employees, guests and communities safe. To help us keep the resort safe, guests are requested to stay home if they are not feeling well or are considered high risk, and to practice good hygiene and maintain physical distance while at the resort.

For guests without an Epic Australia Pass, Epic Pass or Epic Military Pass, lift tickets need to be purchased in advance. Lift tickets for the coming weeks will be released progressively starting next week.

We thank you for your patience as we work through this challenging time.
