Last year’s early bird price $829. This year’s price has the insurance baked in, so essentially the same...

I’m (probably) game, as it’s still the best value in town, setting aside the 2020 Victorian ructions.

It would be hard for them to be certain of anything at this stage.

Pricing released, but no “Buy Now” option on the website....pushing people to the OS pass first?
Or just an inadvertent payment portal issue. One doesn’t know anymore with Vail....

edit: found it once logged in.

Bought - one for mr 14 and one for me.

mr 19 will have to spring for his own student pass - I will offer him a subsidy....

+1 will use my bring a friend days - she doesn’t ski that often, and next year I also hope to get her into the BC too.

Last year: Pass plus ski tube: $919
This Year $998. This includes pass protection.
I can't recall if I paid for pass protection last year or not.

For sure, but I just thought it was interesting they no longer have it cheap. It's a big hike, it's like they want to discourage use.

It was just an interesting thing to hike by such a percentage.

Only $10 if you included pass protection last year which seems to now be wrapped in. But a long way from the free lift pass they used to give seniors years ago. Too many of us I suppose :D
Anyway bought and hopefully get to use it next year

My last year as a Senior. 2022 will be an over 70(if I'm still around). Over 70s $199. A great deal. What's the bet when I get there it'll double in price?:D

I was under the impression that student passes were only

I can't see any information on the Perisher website is that Over 70 ie 71 or from 70? The website FAQ does say its a different sort of pass.

I think it was only about $50 extra on the first Freedom pass?
still a bit less than $28 per day like this year
now that I think, didn't I pay for skitube when I booked my Epic Pass this time last year?
was that deducted in the final payment?
in my dotage these details sometimes slip past without my noticing

I take that back. Those were the 2018 prices.
Last year I paid: $829 plus $25 pass protection plus $99 skitube = TOTAL $953
So all up a net increase of $45

You only have to be 70. As far as I'm aware it's not an EPIC pass so doesn't have the benefits of an EPIC. It's just a season pass and usually can be purchased at any time during the season.

Also, as an insurance product Epic Coverage like its predecessor Pass Refund Protection is beyond useless anyway. IMHO they should scrap it entirely and offer competitive third-party insurance options, setting a minimum standard. Then the customer would have better value for money, a choice of provider, and there would not be the same conflict of interest when assessing claims. As it is it's a one-sided product that covers very, very little.

Not counting this year we've claimed at least twice for medical reasons and received full refunds both times. Claims were a simple process and much faster than those from travel insurance in my experience. But I take the point its now bundled its just at our age we need that option anyway.
