What would you like it to cover that it doesn't already?
Martians. Mmmm donuts
No, but I can point out many flaws. Take for example an Epic Aust. Pass is non-refundable and non-transferable. Well on the first point the year they changed final payment day from 1 Jun to 1 May I wasn't expecting it and when my payment failed they threatened to cancel the pass if I didn't call and make payment. Well that means they're cancelling the debt - if that's their policy then there goes a huge chunk of the usefulness of the refund protection. If their policy is instead to sell the debt to a debt collector it's another story. Then on non-transferable - really... why? Why not allow transfer for people that have paid for the "Pass Refund Protection" - in the event where they feel they can't make use of the pass and want to allocate it to someone else? Why not charge a fee in other circumstances? I can think of very few other examples where people can't transfer a service they've bought - if I book a motel room and can't make use of it I can send whoever I want to use it and the motel won't care. I've met people on the mountain several times now who say they are using their friend's motel/lodge/hotel booking because they had to go back early. So those are just a couple of hypothetical examples.
Hypothetical argument is odd.
*and makes no sense
.... a snow resort is not a motel
I'm super happy with the service and all that the staff at our resorts do for us.
I hope enough people purchase EPIC's so that they can prepare for 2021.
Fantastic effort this year with all things considered and we have been super lucky to have a season.
Love what you do Perisher and keep up the good work
Yeah I am in complete agreement. The staff have been amazing, some folk just don't get it. There will always be a Karen!
I watched some ******** going off on Sat about being directed over the other bridge. The staff are just doing as they are told. Seriously just walk over the other fricken bridge..... its not gonna kill you. Do you not watch TV, you just come off looking like a dick!
Just for this dumbo - what is a "week of" reservation?
the week you nominate to ski, as in 'the week of 1st to 7th August'
I'm starting to get the sense that the timing for when the "week of" window opens hasn't quite been determined. Meaning it's not as simple as opening up Mon-Sun on Mon morning. Could well end up opening up a 7-day window on Wednesdays or Thursdays. But the idea is that locals could use that concept for powder chasing.
Passes all locked in for next year. Eldest is now an adult so will need to chip a bit towards his.
Kids are happy.
Guess it's worth noting that in the American midwest, mid-Atlantic, and northeast skiing powder is very rare. Weather conditions in the northeast seem to be similar to Australia. Snow followed by rain, followed by a hard freeze, happens more than once every winter. The Epic locations east of the Mississippi are all relatively close to major metropolitan areas. So the reservation system will be pretty important. The midwest and mid-atlantic ski areas are small hills. Think Selwyn, not Hotham.
Did anyone from interstate etc who claimed a refund have any trouble getting back what they expected ?
I don’t know where you are (maybe you are interstate), but I got a full refund
Hi, thanks. I have a friend from Queensland who has now received a pro rata refund in line with the original conditions document.
I’m in Melb, so the Covid lockdown came into play for my refund
I’m in Radelaide, no issues with refund, just took time & I had no notification it happened, Luck I noticed the credit in the account prior to being a goose & chasing up.
I think it's good to hear that Perisher has done that.
