Just over a month to go until 2 weeks skiing Paraski and the 3V with the kids.
Need to find a good mnt guide for both places. any recommendations for specific guides other than the local bureaus?

New video just released on la grave with a few guides and locals I know which has got me wishing the kids were older.

Just saw this. I know a great guide in VT for the 3V.

No Europe for me this year. Quitting smoking has however given me a huge amount of brownie points- so the target is to head back to do some more Dolomites Couloirs based around Pordoi. Vallon Val Scura etc roped access routes on the hit list . Have only done Holzer and Joel thus far. Heres a taste on vid.

^^ that's part of my January plan and the reason we're going to the Dolomites. We'll see if snow co-operates.
That vid was one of the ones I used to sell the idea to others. Plus she's a great skier.

I'm training to be Italian by calling them canales, not couloirs. Also need to get a small car and drive like a f-ing maniac.

You will love it Zeroz. The routes that are easier access are now very popular. The ones that require uphill travel and/ or rappelling get much less traffic. Have an old climbing mate who lives in Dobbiaco that will probably join in unless hes guiding closer to home ( in which case Pustertal will be our centre of activity). If you get a good taste for it this season perhaps join us the following season- crampon, rope and ice axe skills may need a touch up.

Always been keen to check out Mayrhofen and rest of Zillertal. Might give it another year or so to get sorted!

We have return tix to Europe (Turin) in 2020 so we'll be Euroskiing again in 2020.
If the 2019 canales are good fun or we don't end up skiing them, I'm interested to join you. Probably with 2 others.

I want to spend more time in Italy and the south Alps. Some great ski areas that don't get the media of the big resorts.

You also need to be able to talk with your hands while riding a Vespa and drinking a coffee ;)

Was an annoyingly warm week in Berlin. Dipped to around zero yesterday but back to a mild 6 today. Freeze mofo freeze. I want some of those travel chaos style snow storms!

Packed and ready, waiting for the ride to the airport. 25 hour flight with a couple of feral kids isn’t filling me with the joys of Christmas. Fenergen at the ready!

Dubai to Manchester, and a couple of weeks back home in wales and London, then over to Geneva to get us up to VT. Back from Geneva via Dubai.

Just boarded and hoping they’ll get some decent sleep on this leg.

Good luck with the trip!

Sounds great. Luck is always needed with kids on planes. You don't want to be "that family" on a long haul flight!!

Just survived 10 days in St Anton with a 9 month old in tow.

Was absolutely effing epic.

The 20% tax rebate and further store discounts were handy so that my quiver has a couple of sets of Stockli’s added to it.
