Playing around with some flights for the next northern winter and found you can fly from a number of Australian cities to Geneva over the Christmas break for as little as $836 return($602 for kids). And that's on a full service airline with bags and meals !!

    https://www.skyscanner.com.au/trans...inboundaltsenabled=false&ref=day-view#results

Has it ever been this cheap to fly to Europe, over Christmas as well !!

You'd have to go as far back as 1979 for those prices!

That link I put up is for one adult and one child fare, so works out the average at $719.

The 1 adult price is still as low as $837.

I'm sure you are aware that you do have to be very careful with skyscanner pricing......as some of the lower prices listed are with some pretty dodgy agents that have very long lists of complaint.

My Parents purchased some BA flights to LHR return for $560 each in 79, another 6 weeks of School.
Then took a BA flight to Miami, they had the 747 configured 3-5-3, plastic cutlery with the meal, but the price was good.

Sure but there's a few agents there with similar pricing. And if you still don't like any of them pick an Aussie website and get Flight Centre to price match it.

Norwegian is about $530 Singapore-London return. Add a Scoot /JQ sale fare.

Be careful with which airport you transit through if booking a Chinese carrier. Some airports require a visa for transit.
