Couldn't see a thread for this. Any thoughts on what the weather's likely to do in Europe?
Got a cold spell, little to no snow for a week then a bit of a warming trend with a large high blocking lows from the west. Hopefully the high breaks down though.
Needs a bit of @Sandy style darth vader moderation, but it's a good thread.
Thanks guys. Now I think about it, I think I posted the same thread last year and CM posted the snowheads link and Chester gave me some decent French Meteo links.
I do use Snowheads a bit but for some reason my brain is so conditioned to thinking of this site (its still Snoinfo in my mind!) as the go-to destination for weather and snow conditions that I go blank on others!
I'm in Espace Killy from 30/1 so I'm ok with sunshine for a week, given the snow cover that is now on the ground there. Bring it.
www.wepowder.com is also an informative read.
Just checked the models and they have improved quite a bit. Brief warm spell by a blocking high till 27/28th then the lows push the high out over the atlantic and bomb down from the NW. Will keep an eye on the next few model runs but this could be an epic spell of snowfall, I'd be calling metres.....
Looking good for next week from the 6th
