Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon as magnificently captured by gleno71 and posted in the SE QLD/NE NSW event thread.

Various wave buoys along the southern QLD coast registered the increasing Hsig, max wave heights, and periods quite nicely.

The large cruise ship Ovation of the Seas was supposed to depart Sydney last night to New Caledonia at 1845, but she is still in the harbour waiting for the (ex) cyclone to abate.

Winds SW of NZ still look to be pinching on Tasman Low that WAS ex-TC Uesi.
ASCAT scan from 1500 AEDT, 35-45knot winds registered for NSW wave projection:

Still registering swell heights of 18-20 foot near centre of low:

It should supply NSW swell, all week.

Went from 3-4 Foot to 6-8 foot in 1-2 hours Gerringong yesterday. Fortunately, it remained surfable and completely windless all day.
This system has been a special one. Even if it couldn't drop any rain on the mainland:

Awesome pics Pow hungry. I was at that spot yesterday and there were a lot of surfers out there. Has dropped to about 3 ft but still looked very fun with long lines of waves.
