Have fun guys and gals.

Nice to see a bit of fresh.

I was hanging out to ski today but early cams showed poor vis so I packed up and returned to the big smoke.

Thanks Curra. I'm sure I'll have a good weekend. I am impressed with the amount of terrain that FC has managed to keep open. Cruising the blues will keep me occupied for 2 days. The purpose of the trip is to get my snow fix to hold me over until Nozawa Onsen in February [IMG]

Of course, if you've had enough skiing by lunchtime then you must could pop up to the FC hotel in the bowl for the annual SES fundraiser BBQ.

We were suppose to leave yesterday but the snow was so beautiful that we were lucky enough to stay another night in our apartment ( Ted & Bec from mountain multiservice are amazing ). Kids had their last day in ski school & it was my sons last time in snow club which was a bit sad actually because they treat the kids amzingly there & we have a soft spot for Nozomi as since my sons first time in snow club when he was 3 she has just been so good with him & all the other kids . It was great to see some new snow yesterday & the kids were especially excited as everything looks so much prettier with that white blanket of snow we love so much . 7 and a half days skiing in sun/ wind / rain & the beautiful snow and we are all exhausted . Thanks everyone at falls creek & the kiewa valley for another amazing holiday . Now for the 1000 k trip back home - ahhh !

That sounds like a great suggestion; thanks Curra. No point going on a ski weekend on my lonesome if I don't get out there and socialise with my fellow ski addicts.

Actually the ses bbq was today, not next Saturday. But usually there is a Harvey hour on the last Saturday at the fc hotel which will be full of locals

Even if the snowcover top to bottom is suffice, the management could still decide to close those lifts on account of too few patrons about.

Towers Chair and Main Street should still be up and running

Ruined and Scotts were really good on Saturday. Not many people about though. Should last till weekend.

Well hopefully management do everything they can to keep them open. They have done an excellent job so far! I will decided on Friday morning if it worth the drive.

For the umpteenth time this season on this and the other Victorian resort threads, Resort Entry charges and Ski Lift prices are not in anyway connected. Resort Entry charges are applied and collected by the local Resort Management Board, aka council/land manager (at Falls Creek - Falls Creek Resort Management Board), and the Lift Prices are applied and collected by the business that holds the lease for the ski area and own and operate the lifting, snow making, slope grooming etc infrastructure, aka a commercial enterprise (at Falls Creek - Falls Creek Ski Lifts owned by Merlin Entertainment).

If they were charging full resort entry from opening weekend, there is no reason why they still wouldn't be.

Still holding up well, picture of Ruined castle this morning

Scotts and Main Street still good also. The little bit of rain last night has pretty well finished off the lifted off piste

Good to see - looks like I am going to be skiing Main St, Scotts and Ruined Castle this weekend - might venture into the beginner terrain park as well [IMG]

It was very slow after 11 today, and at 3 I was pushing with both poles to make any progress below about 10% slope..

Plenty of obstacles on all slopes.

Snow will need to be moved to make scottys ( either side of the chair) viable tomorrow.

By the end of the day the wise where down lifting to avoid a patchy and very slow Wombats

The hill needs a freeze.

Still fun ...in the morning anyway!

Had a good weekend teaching a friend how to ski up at Falls. Sunday was a great way to end the season. The effort that Falls creek put into keeping as much of the mountain open as possible was the deciding factor in me buying a hero pass for next year. good work Falls!

Had the last 4 days up at cederwood (great accom by the way) and agree Sunday was great and so different to the gale force wind and rain on Sat.
Bit sad its all over to be honest, my first time back on the snow in over 15 years and loved every second up at Falls.....managed 20 days boarding so defo a hero pass for me next year.
The wife has also got the bug and our 7 year old is now linking turns after two full days in junior shred so were off to Japan in the new year.

So yeah, big thanks from us Falls Creek you have a new set of fans for life.
