At this stage it is fine on the Kiewa valley. There's minor flooding on farmland, that's all.

No, all good. 43mm of rain at my place Wed night but nothing over the top. Most of the down low snow has already melted and runoff with earlier rains so not getting the double whammy of rain and significant snow melt.

Most certainly, I paid a guy a couple of grand to put in some rock retaining walls, hope they are still there!

Almost didn't go up today but so glad I took a chance and put faith in the weather forecast. Perfect spring conditions with cover looking better or at least as good as a week ago.

Another great vid @soza. Such a relief from those boring head cam top to bottom vids.

I skied from windy corner to pv hut today. Excellent snow and great grooming. Heathy spur looks pretty ordinary. Stlill heaps of snow up here but all the north facing slopes are in poor shape.

I would have enjoyed the company, for sure. I actually had to walk the first 200m from Windy corner to skiable snow but it was full cover from there on. On my return I skied down Aitken's (aka Ziggy's) which was really enjoyable, I had forgotten how long it was, then I skied down Wombats and back to windy corner. Nice end to the season for me but you never know there could be another dump! There is still heaps of snow up there but access will be a problem as it melts off lower down.

I only saw a handful of skaters out there and one like minded tourer with whom i shared lunch on the PV hut table.
I bought a lift ticket on monday and strapped on my old Fischer AT skis just for a bit of nostalgia. I took the chair to the summit and did some skiing and skinning over the back and finished off with a few blue runs. Quite impressed with the kicker skins on AT skis, still get some glide.
It's quite amazing how conservative your skiing becomes when you are solo, I had a look at Rocky knobs yesterday but didn't go very far. I thought if i break a leg I could be stuffed.

I'm thinking about a day trip on Monday to take a first timer up for an intro to telemarking. Nordic bowl and other gentle south side trails. From the cams and Weerab's report from last Tuesday, it looks like that would work. Enough snow for that modest goal?

We are trekking up the fire trails from Bogong village to the Fainters. I am taking all my white season gear except the ice axe. I think this snow season will have enough left in it to make it to the closing day .

I hope so, it was raining when I left Mt Beauty on Wednesday. Hopefully someone at Falls can help. The Nordic bowl did not have full cover last Tuesday but you should be ABLE TO FIND SOME SOUTH FACING SLOPES.

Nice return to winter conditions. Rugged up and enjoying the cold. Snow is nice and firm underneath with a nice soft top layer.

Had a few runs down south face until the last lift - was probably the pick of the day here too.

A bit of sago settling on the roof of Halleys lodge with intermittent snow showers.

It's pelting down big fluffy flakes & wet ones but isn't being reflected in the BOM. Temps aren't that low ATM either.

Took the gamble and went up yesterday. Nice day, road uncovered almost to the Nordic Bowl but enough snow for our first timer after that. She had a good day getting used to skis and is feeling confident to do it again next season. Thank you for the +ve encouragement it was the right call, the snow reports alone would have kept us at home.

We had a few hours on the slopes yesterday, ended up been a super mellow fun day in great conditions. We mostly hung out around towers as main street was skiing real nice and you were straight on the lift.

Came back up around 2 hours ago. More snow on the side of the roads has settled but nothing on the road.

Roads into the village are closed again - need to walk or use oversnow to lodges.

Was snowing from about 1100m last night on the way up.
About 20 odd cm in the balcony this morning.
    Still snowing.
Looks fantastic, visibility ordinary, not sure what the wind is doing up top.

So glad the snow fell while the season is alive. Hate it when it dumps and there is no one around to enjoy. Make the most of that snow people, it took a system that wiped out South Australia for you to enjoy.

Made the drive from the coast to ski this morning. Back home now can safely say that was my best resort day this season. Good snow, no people and hardly any wind I don't often get those 3 things to line up.
