Is annoying that they don't provide more info onbtheir website, but the Falks Creek app does tell you more. For each run and park it tells you whether it is open and if it was groomed last night and if there was snowmaking last night. It isn't always 100% correct but usually pretty good, especially for the most popular runs. It claims 77 runs but i can't be bothered counting. As of this morning it ou t showing neatly everything open except parks and northfacing runs that are rarely, if ever, groomed. Some groomed north facing runs are marginal too.

With lifts offline due to high wind, and with pelting r**n it was the ‘perfect’ day to introduce a mate of mine to the joys of ski touring.

The weather was so appalling that even the junior Aussie XC team was warming up inside the Windy Corner shelter, rather than venturing outside.

I took my mate up through the trees, and then along Wombats and McKay road up to Lorna Dunkley shelter. From the top we skied down into Little Canada and round back to Windy Corner - multiple sets of wet gloves later. With the wind at our back on the way up things weren’t too bad, actually.

No-one in sight except ski patrol and lifties on skidoos. The chairs on Scotty’s were happily dancing away in the high wind. Standing on the flat at the Eagle Chair offload, the wind was strong enough to blow one forward.... no kite required.

The cover on the front side has been significantly stripped, but there’s definitely still skiable snow this week. Wombats has suffered, but still has cover. Grass patches appearing all over Broadway.

Sheltered in the lee of the mountain among the trees one could still have fun in the high wind - but the snow pack is softening on the North side.

Hi Brain Trust, can anyone recommend a good club lodge at Falls that accepts bookings from non members?

    Thanks

Lovely day out on the slopes - initially firm, then softening. Nastar the pick of the day - held up well & received less traffic.

Similarly, Racecourse at Scottys was good as was Big Dipper.

Ruined Castle and lower Main Street softened & chopped up quickly.

12 year old son out-skiing me - great to see.

The last two days snowfall has rescued the tail-end of the season.

Enjoying being next to the Kiewa River in the Tawonga caravan park, listening to the spring sounds of the birdsong and the snowmelt- fuelled river rushing past.

Oh yes, The BC sucks, I never ski there ;-P. I am with @hongomania , yes there is still snow above 1850 M. in the K.N.P. and on Mt. Bogong but I have skied enough this season and I am putting summer wax on my skis .I am having a few weekends off before starting green season hiking and spring surfing.

There is snow down to 1650m (skiable) on Bogong so above 1850m is no surprise. Looking at it from afar may make height judgment more difficult. Maybe next year.

I went up yesterday for a few hours in the morning, mainly hanging in drovers Park with my son. Park is in great condition as was main street and highway. First trip to Falls in a couple of weeks as we made use of the epic with trips to Hotham and Perisher. Had a great time at both, particularly Perisher....so much ski area to cover and we were lucky to have most of the lifts still turning.
Hoping to get up another couple of times before Sunday.

Looking very sparse yesterday. We rode our bikes from the Trapyard gap gate on the tar until Langford West and then on the aqueduct to Kellys track and home. There is still enough snow on Nelse for some fun but very little to be seen elsewhere that would be worthwhile. Ran into our friend from council doing a road inspection. Still some work to do clearing the usual drifts but they seem much less this year than previous. A couple of trees to cut and the road needs a sweep in the treed areas but certainly it is on track to open by the end of the month. The council contractors should be up there soon. Water is pouring out of a section of road near Langford West so the council may want to wait for this to dry. Otherwise the road held up pretty good this year. Alpine shire still putting signs up instead of fixing the road.
