Loved your work for years Heli and LittelRob you have done well taking the mantle but I am afraid you have both been owned [IMG]

Seems to start at Feathertop so go to the small pics at the top for the Village etc.

Some great (interactive) aerial photography of Falls and surrounds. The guys site was linked in the online press (for cities - also worth checking out) but noticed this and whilst I haven't really been on the site this last week I couldn't see that it had been posted (appoligies if it has) so thought I would share [IMG]

Will cross post in Snowtalk so non FC folks can check it out as well

Edit :- Just noticed he has a few of Hotham as well

Hey Trappers - I linked to the Hotham page (there were 4 aspects/interactive pano's you could choose) so none of them worked for you? The Feathertop one is just one of the 5 Falls and surrounds images.

Agree the software looks pretty cool (in the cities the auto pull back from zoomed was annoying till I figured out you can turn it off) and he has done some great work. I've never been in a chopper (unlike you who from memory scammed plenty of rides with Heli) so will just have to save that experience for when I finally get around to organising heliskiing in Alaska [IMG]

    Amazing stuff. Very immersive.

Great to have a reminder of what a good snow year looks like.

I used to print out Heli's shots of Hotham, cover them in contact and keep them in my pocket to help me navigate 'secret' stashes.

    Thanks Heli [IMG]

What you talking about Willis!! Pano's 2-5 all have snow in them (especially 4) so if you hadn't realised that little arrow to the left of screen expands a control that had the other Panos to select/view

Andrew uses my old company, bit bizarre seeing my old equipment in the shots!

How time flies, 6 years since I last did the LiftLink [IMG]

Brilliant. Saved it, before it becomes pay per view.

The one above West Peak is unreal. It really shows what you miss out by stay over near Cairn Gully.

There seems to be two threads for this title? I put this up yesterday on the other one.

errr... not quite. I was actually the pilot that flew Andrew around last year for that shoot!! It was, without question, the best day of the season, a storm had just come through and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. I have to say that it is probably one of the most memorable photo jobs I've ever flown. Even the photographer said it probably topped his Grand Canyon shoot!!!!

I've been on holiday (yes I know, my job is a holiday) for a few weeks so sorry for the lack of pics recently. Looking forward to getting back into it after this storm and i'll try to get some pics up.

    Cheers,

    LR

I took the heli link from Falls to Hotham a couple of fridays ago, would have been july 26th. Meant to say hello, Littlerob but it seems like you weren't flying that day anyway. The pilot was a nice young guy of 29, someone asked his age, and I flew with a couple of guys from the Feathertop lodge at Falls. Everyone was really impressed, the Feathertop guys especially as they had never skied Hotham ( being NSW men).

So I would highly recommend the heli link as you can ski Falls and Hotham on the same day on the same lift pass and the trip over is just sensational and only 5 mins or so!

Thanks for the plug weerab, yep Steve was flying while I was away but I should be here for the rest of the season now. Any forum members please come and introduce yourself if you see me hanging around. I'll be the good looking guy with the helicopter. [IMG]

Looking forward to the weather clearing on Thursday, hopefully I can get some pics, any requests for particular areas?
