    At least he is a keen skier and has a long term interest in falls creek

    That has as many downsides to it as benefits.
    Views by local skiers on how resorts should run differ so could be prone to pushing a view that may be good for him and or those he knows but maybe not so good for all.
    What is good for stake holders may not be the best for visitors.
    IMO resorts need some independent input and might be better to have a keen skier from another country on the boards.

    Its not possible IMO
    All strategies or actions are going to have some good bits and some fallout
    Dunno about independents on the boards, we have some pretty unique challenges in our Alpine resorts. Case in point would be managing around possibly the shortest commercial ski season on the planet....

    Overseas entities have bought up some resorts and the wheels haven't fallen off yet.
    Why should Boards of Resorts be able to exclude outsiders.
    I'm sure a management professional from overseas could absorb the brief and factor in local issues.
