We are going in September. Our 5yr old will be in ski school. This is the first proper opportunity for our 2 year old (2yrs 9 months) to ski. He will be 3 in January when we are going to Japan. We would like to get him on the snow prior to that. He missed out on lessons when we went to Whistler in March 19 as was too small but now he is I think big enough, toilet trained and able to cope with some snow time.

It seems from my reading that the only option for those below 3 is to have private lessons. Can anyone who has booked private lessons for their 2yr old give feedback on how it went, and if there were particular teachers to ask for by name?

Also, knowing how kids always do better in groups, if there are any other families going mid September with similar intentions who would like to share a private lesson I'd be happy to try and organise that.

We found that booking our kids into snowclub, full day for each of our 2 week stays gave them a great start.

    Needs to be toilet trained.

Staff are great and it gives them time to progress and learn properly.

The point is that snowclub starts at 3. The kid in question is 2.

Nazomi is someone in charge at ski school? Yes toilet trained. Would be great if they can be flexible. Big difference between 2y1m and 2y9m.
    cheers

Yes, she runs the show at snowclub. All of the instructors there are great with kids, it's more than just snow play. Our kids were essentially getting private lessons once they had passed never skied stage.

Our kids still pop in to snowclub for a chat and a hug even though they haven't been at snowclub for about 10 years.
