Cold air is keeping the snow in great condition, aided and abetted by great work from the groomers

    Monkey Bar [IMG] excellent
    Drovers [IMG] excellent
    Towers [IMG] excellent
    Lakeside [IMG] excellent
    Scotts [IMG] excellent
    Ruined Castle [IMG] excellent
    Summit [IMG] excellent
International [IMG] excellent. Although there a few thin spots, the quality was so good it still has to be excellent
    The Maze [IMG] Didn't ski
Off-piste Frontside [IMG] to [IMG] getting a bit more spring like on the north side
Off-piste Backside [IMG] just a bit too firm to persevere with when the groomers are so good
Wombat’s Ramble [IMG] Didn't ski, but if Hoot was this good, wombats would have been fine too
Other home trails [IMG] Very Good
    Village Roads [IMG] Good

All the groomers were fabulous - Hero snow.

Off-piste over the back was firm, but not ice. On Sunday arvo it was getting quite nice, but Monday was even firmer than Sunday. Off-piste around last hoot had some lovely bits. Dry at the top, spring conditions further down.

    Pick of the day/s:
Father Fosters, St Elmos's Slide, International

Yep, Agree with everything there. Wombats is actually in better condition than last hoot. Last hoot and milky way were very soft sunday noon onwards

My pick- Powderkeg when the poma line was short and Repunzels (sp?)

Just quickly, Nastar Race Course- Is it true its $1 for a timed run on there? When? It was open Friday but stupidly i didnt have a crack, then it was closed all sat/sun

I haven't actually had a crack at Nastar this year, too much good snow to ski elsewhere. But being closed over last weekend was probably because of the big races over at Father Fosters and Scott. No events/racing department available to run Nastar is my guess.

Hey Currawong, How are we looking for the rest of this week weather wise? We're here now and we're keen to get up and see some of Heli's work (we missed out on a scenic today as it was closing in a bit) Froggy is talking of 5-10cm Thursday, as long as the bluebirds keep up and we don't go on wind hold we'll be happy. Have you got any inside info?

By the way, our picks so far are anything off the Ruined Castle chair and the Broadway hometrail, and how much better is it than last year! We're all over it and loving it!!

No inside info here. I'm skiing tomorrow, expecting fine but cloudy. Hope the wind isn't too bad. I'm expecting r@!# on thursday (hope I'm wrong). Friday I'm off to SIC so I haven't really looked at FC weather.

    Wednesday 25th

Temperatures are rising a little, so we are getting into the freeze/thaw cycle

    Monkey Bar [IMG] Didn't ski
    Drovers [IMG] excellent
Towers [IMG] very good, main runs getting a a bit soft and churned up by lunchtime
    Lakeside [IMG] excellent
    Scotts [IMG] Didn't ski
    Ruined Castle [IMG] Didn't ski
Summit [IMG] excellent, but softening quite early
    International [IMG] Didn't ski
    The Maze [IMG] Didn't ski
Off-piste Frontside [IMG] to [IMG] spring conditions on the north side
Off-piste Backside [IMG] to [IMG] best in areas that are a bit skier packed. Some nasty icy bits and rutted stuff too.
Wombat’s Ramble [IMG] Didn't ski, but if Hoot was this good, wombats would have been fine too
Other home trails [IMG] very good but softening a lot by lunchtime
    Village Roads [IMG] Didn't ski

The wind was pretty cold even though the air temp was supposedly quite warm. We stuck to relatively sheltered runs.

    Pick of the day:
    Rapunzels/Quartz Ridge area
