    Hey all,
Just wondering on your thoughts on Federation chair, and if it has any chance of being open by monday week. I am interested because I have booked a holiday from Monday the 9th to Friday 13th, I am an experienced Skiier, and I guess hoping for some more advanced terrain to open up. Is bull Run bowl far from opening?

Thanks for any comments and advice!

this photo was taken last tuesday. it is the lower part of the bull run bowl. wood run isn't so far from being open. However, being the photo was from tues, then they had all that r*** i dunno. But they have a heap of snow over the past few days, with lots more forcast, so who knows? [IMG]

    Re: Federion Chair

    hey
i was up at buller last tues-friday. after all the freakin' rain there is not much chance of federation or bull run bowl being opened up soon....the "base" was wiped out. just random bits of snow left that will melt fast. pity because it was looking good to open soon. on friday standard run was in appaling condtion. lbs and wombat were the picks of the day, however its only to mid load and for some reason even when not windy that lift is PAINFULLY slow.

Don't think so, they need a solid 1m base to open these areas.

From speaking to some Patrollers today, they reckon that one more good dump will see a lot more of the mountain open up.

I reckon Wombat Bowl and Southside will be the next to open up.

Hunter only gromming i could see was done by fire has left some good runs not needing a graet deal of snow compared to what they did! Like this run for just one example [IMG]

That pic looks like the top entry into powder keg, i skied it when it was closed a couple of years back. About half way down I realised why it was closed [IMG]

Ended up killing a ski on that run too...lucky it was a rock hopper!!

When is the spelling of the title going to be changed...it is a joke that it managed to remain like that!
