    Interested in doing the flare run with a group next season, but noticed on the Thredbo website it says "not open for members of the general public". Does this mean I just won't be able to do it anymore? Why the change?

    Not much of a flare run. Six participants and the flares get snuffed out when the teledudes crash into each other.

    People kept turning up, not wearing flares, so they canned it?

    I had heard that it was no longer open to the public, but not the reason.

    @Townsend?

    People weren’t turning up dressed appropriately so the public got banned

    It’s a flare run, only professionals allowed.

    The second cousin 3 times removed of my former sister in law (or some other distant relation of hers) died from a severe asthma attack brought on by the fumes from the flares. But that would have been around 3 decades ago.

    Cat herding would be more productive.
    I actually saw this once where a human was walking along the road followed by a mother cat and 3 kittens.

    I didn't realise it was open to the public, I thought it was just Tbo staff that did it.
