Kevin Woods in Canberra is meant to be good. Craig Waller and Leo Pincheski in Sydney are also meant to be good.

Okay @Sara is hooking me up with a guy. Will get an MRI and see her ortho.

Then make an assessment after that. Not sure if Canberra or Sydney is better.

I live alone up two flights of stairs. Maybe de camping to Jindy is a good idea.

I got Mike upstairs post surgery, where he stayed for maybe 5 days - if you can time the surgery to be coming home on the 1st I can be nursemaid LMB.

The ortho will discuss all the options with you, including where, when & what’s the best solution for your circumstances. I will give you everything I had to do. If you decide for a surgery, it doesn’t really matter where you are after as long as you have an excellent physio around the corner (which they should be in Jindy?). I needed a lot of help after the surgery, for about 2-3 weeks. And you’ll get all the support I can give you :nerd:

A lot of Jindy folk choose Sydney over Canberra. Not sure if it’s price, or reputation, or speed of treatment. You def should recover in Jindy. Endless cups of tea and scones..with honey!

When I had ACL rupture diagnosed, a knee surgeon who was himself a skier without an ACL said we don't need it unless we ski the moguls. But we do need strengthening work.

Ah that sucks. Hope recovery goes well and you can come back one day when conditions are a little better. Looked ok there, but we did have it a bit better in the North Buchanans.

Ow! At the beginning of the video I thought you did really well not letting the f-bomb go LOL

Green whistle? I still don’t believe they exist...I’m yet to see one even after all of my mishaps.

If it’s an ACL, just change over to snowboarding. +1 does quite well without one. Hasn’t had one for 25 years.

    They exist.
Shame you’ve never had the pleasure.

#3 son had one (in additional to fentanyl up his nose) in the ambulance when he got a spiral tib fib break playing school rugby.
I was sitting over him talking him through the panic and nearly passed out from what he breathed out!! Potent!

    This!

    Would prefer fentanyl!

However that comment was made before we made up the makeshift sled and the split. I was bum sliding down the hill!!

I’ve had fentanyl a few times. When I broke my leg I had two jabs of it in my stomach. It was lovely. Nothing when I tore my MCL at Falls Creek and nothing when I came off the MTB and did my AC joint.
Had the fentanyl up my nose when the plyo box went through my shin after a box jump mishap. That was also good. I felt fine but when I saw the video of me in the hospital, I wasn’t fine at all LOL

    I’m a :puke:with ALL the good drugs.
Post surgical pain relief has to come with anti-nausea meds but even then I haven’t woken from an anaesthetic without hurling since my first at 14. EVERY time. Sucks. Especially the last one where they’d been tinkering inside my abdomen - that was some scary and painful experience.

Oh no! It’s the opiate induced pain relief that makes it bearable. That really does suck...

Okay @sara777 has me booked in with a surgeon for next Tuesday.

    MRI booked for Thursday morning.

Nice massage release from physio this morning and they have given me a second exercise (no rest for the wicked!)

My injury is being managed conservatively, so it's a slow healing process. My universe will shortly be expanded to the swimming pool. Skiing is still a fair way away.

Freestyle kick was ok for me when rehabing from non surgical knee injury but breaststroke scissor kick was a big no no. No doubt injury specific though.

Sorry to read this just now.
I blew out an ACL in day 3 of 16 few years back, if it makes you feel any better ;-)
This guy is one of the best if not the best.
I've been to him a few times with medial , ankles and other injuries.
He did the ACL reco for me 5 years ago and I've skiid flat out , includes return trip to Japow with out and issue.
He's in Moore Park next to the SCG and "the stadium" .
    https://1ortho.com.au/
Can't speak to highly of him.
Hope you holding in there well.
    Best wishes.
