TUTORIAL: How to post in Gear Swap so it sells
Discussion in 'Gear Swap' started by skifree, Oct 11, 2019.
OK, this kit was used by Stefan Matter while in Oz this season.
Freeride SMALL binding.
Nordica Enforcer 93 185 pretty much in mint condition. The guy can really ski and has hardly touch anything with this rig.
Now it's nothing to do with me personally, I'm doing Adi at Perisher a favour to post these up. So if you are interested or want more info google Adi's shop at Perisher for the number and talk a deal. He tells me he expects to be open until the end of October.
Bloody bargain prices for these in this condition.
Even if you ripped off the bindings and put on some training heels at full price you would still be getting a super cheap rig.
Sacrilege , a rig skied by a World Cup Telemark Skier and you would sully it with a training binding, shame on you.
This, buy ski only, grab a warden 11/squire and you have a 1250-1300 set up for a tick over 500
It’s such a screaming deal I want to find a reason to purchase!
Alas I know longer telemark, don’t have NTN boots, and already own more skis than I can regularly use.
If I didn’t own a ski shop I would have jumped on this immediately.
If there is a leaner who wants the ski I would be interested in the bindings.
FWIW I’ve loved skiing my nordicas this season, great ski.
Mate grab the rig for $600, rip the bindings off and flog the skis on a facebook group for $600 - rrp is roughly double that. Shame they’re a bit long for hobbits like us!
@zac150 I'm tempted by the skis, might just need to do a bit more reading up on them. I'd be mountind 22Designs Vice bindings on them. Anyone see any problems with this (switching freerides to 22D Vices?)
Not sure from pics but are they already on their second set of bindings? Looks to be some holes behind heel plates?
@CarveMan is your friend
@skifree is your friend.
Well @CarveMan I'm 6'2", 103 kg. Happily skiing blues both parallel and telemark. Currently have a set of 184cm Armada ARV 96s, fun, flexy, no metal. Was thinking of something narrower would be beneficial for the hard pack groomers i often encounter at Selwyn. 93 mm perhaps a little wider than i was imagining, but then again most of the blurbs out there on the web seem to give good marks to this ski on piste. What's got me a little worried about these skis is they seem to be aimed at faster chargers, I'm a bit more on the slower, more turns kind of skier. I'm imagining the 184cm length would be ok?
Yeah they’re on the burlier end of the spectrum but not over the top. Size suits your dimensions but they are probably more suited to wider faster turns.
That day we were lapping Racecourse after they groomed it and I went and changed skis when it started to chop up and my carve skis were starting to lock me into a turn, the skis I changed to were these. Enforcer 93's in the 177 length. I'm 5'9" and 113kg.
I'm more cautious and turny than you, and have found that they don't need speed to come alive like some other skis marketed towards hard chargers. They're happy to dink around slowly or have your back when you want to cut loose. They don't dictate how you should ski. That's probably why there's so much love for them. They are just so versatile.
I'm only 5'7" and 60kg max, no problems driving the 169cm length, granted that size does have a tighter 15.5m turn radius. Just a very versatile ski. I have seen those skis in Adi's, they are in great condition.
And here I was thinking I like the skis and not the bindings
@SMSkier, are you heading up Perisher way tomorrow ?
@zac150 is interested in the bindings and I'm interested in the skis.
Need to check if the Adi is still around and if the skis are still available ?
Unless @skifree has a direct line...
I only ever deal with Adi in person.
There is a chance he would sell the binding and ski separate, a hint is in the presentation of the pricing info.
His advice was he would be at the shop at least until end of Roctober, so may well be there next week.
Pretty sure we know where the bits will end up, it’s just a case of how to get to the ski to do the dividing.
Well I've got a problem with the space time continuum. Skis are at Perisher, I'm in the Illawarra, so I'm pretty much out unless somehow that can be breached.
I’m in Canberra, will be in Jindy area in four weeks and Wollongong at Xmas and I like gin, so space time continuum solved.
But, I’d take the bindings and I know a man that wants the skis
Can’t get up there tomorrow a.m. unfortunately. Home duties. But can meet Adi or other in town in the afternoon if that helps?
When are you heading up the hill next ?
No plans this week. Have 50 people to host at Thredbo from Friday, with folks starting to turn up Wednesday so a bit on.... if you organise something let me know and I’ll help where I can. Adi lives locally so I could meet him down town or nearby?
Cool, will in touch
How serious are you guys. ?
I’ve organised the skis. Will have them later today.
Need your payment to give Adi.
Just kicking tyres at this stage, can't process too much more at the moment.
Can we now officially announce these as sold?
everyone will soon get to follow a thread on converting a world champions set of Nordic’s enforcer 93 to beginner skis with training heels.
I was told that Marker bindings will screw straight in !
3 degree edge... must take that down to 1 degree.
I'll be browsing ski mounts in Utah next month
whooaa there desk jockey, take care with that drill.
funny you kept the trash and gave away the good stuff
He knows they are boat anchors.
Now to fill up all the holes that those broken mounts were screwed into.
Sheesh, tech talk, you’ll be trading up to Hilti soon.
Do Hilti fasteners fix the heel ?
Only if you tell them to,
but it’s probably a little overkill to use to fix (remove) that weird heel piece!
After I fill the holes, I was thinking about putting some screw inserts in.
After I find out the size of the screws for the yet to be purchased ski mounts, which shop sells the inserts / drill bits etc ?
@Team Weasel is the antipodean expert on all things inserts. He brings his skis in to the shop and uses our jigs to drill the holes in the right spots then does the rest himself.
Most inserts sold for skis take an M5 thread to hold the binding on. I buy the inserts from United Fasteners ( www.unitedfasteners.com.au ) here in ADL. There will be similar shops in CBR. You may not know the lenghts required until you have the inserts set up.
I have the parts, I can mail therm over next week on loan.
Order the inserts themselves from here https://quiverkiller.com/
