Oh if I was 20 years younger...
Don't think it gets much of a go on eurosport unfortunately, scheduling probably more like a surfing event I suppose whereas they'll run the alpine events in most conditions, the technical disciplines anyway.

The FWT athletes are amazing individuals who work so hard to compete and stay competitive.
Their tenure of competition (& staying competitive) is comparatively short as well.
The qualifying procedure is extremely arduous and many of the athletes can't compete every year.
Nic Hale-Woods has done a wonderful job of getting the freeride world tour organised and publicised.
The FWT was very Eurocentric until recently when the tour sought a higher profile & public interest.
Was great when Seb Michaud was doing the commentary. Very funny & not at all commercial.
Now the FWT has become more successful the commentary is a more commercial US focussed ESPN TV style.

Often wondered why Europeans have been reluctant to promote extreme skiing. Only one heliski operation in all of Austria, yet massive potential for a viable industry. Perhaps a little bit of lets leave it for ski touring ?
