Where from? I've had some trouble getting on to Jardines this time around and have had much better luck with Mcsporties... Jardines must be crazy busy this year- In the past they've been impeccable.
view from the hotel balcony. (7mm wide angle lens makes it look a bit more spacious than it really is)
so just went out to buy an onion and Nikki came back with ANOTHER jacket (we did manage to secure the onion as well) I may have also neglected to mention that I also purchased a new pair of ski pants

goggleman.com.au. Ski goggle inserts. Now I only run into trees due to poor technique , not defective visual acuity.
nothing to do with my lenses, its my diabetic-aged retinas that don't deal well with the different light levels
So that was a fun evening. My internet banking on my phone had been blocked, and on the internet also. So had to re-instate international roaming on my phone (turned off to avoid international roaming costs) so I could call the bank to get it all sorted - apparently someone tried access and failed 3 times (not me). It also took Telstra over 2 hours to restore international roaming, plus another 15 minutes on the phone to the bank (half of which seemed to be all the legal disclaimers they need to tell everyone)
Scammers scammers everywhere! They blocked my Mum for legit Christmas shopping. Apparently 3 different PayPass transactions in an hour was “unusual behaviour” for her so they locked her account down and she had to go into a bank to sort it out (took half an hour standing there while they unblocked her.). Hello ... she’s retired. Doesn’t spend much. It’s the week before Christmas... Do we now need to notify our banks when we are going Christmas Shopping? @gareth_oau did they tell you what would happen if they’d been successful? Cancelled frggin cards and no way to get more while on holiday!!! Time for more than one alternate account.
I can understand why the banks are so vigilant; they are the one's bearing the cost of fraud I had to replace my amex card a month ago because of an Uber transaction in the US for $150. I let my banks know I was travelling to Canadia and they advised if a card needs to get cancelled a new one would be at my hotel within 48-72 hours. Ive got 3 different credit cards and a debit card, so it wouldnt be too much of an issue
If you have a registered mobile they will normally send you a text to confirm if you are doing legit purchases and yes being wary of scams I would expect quite a few won't respond to that so then you call the general phone help line to confirm. Unfortunately the bad guys are getting more sophisticated.
Nik and I spent the day trying some demos. Nik is still going tomorrow, but I snapped up a pair of Rossi Experience 84 Al (160cm)
Fortunately! This makes it easier for people to enjoy the worlds best harbour - you know, sailing, swimming, scooba diving, water skiing and stuff like that.
Reports are power is down in sunny peaks with a tree taking out the powerlines. We can talk about @gareth_oau and he won’t hear us...
curreently minus 13 in the village at 9pm, so will probably go a bit lower. Following a day where village temp topped at minus 5 Coldest night we've had so far Snow is dry and stupidly squeeky
Last night around 8pm we video chatted witht he boys, daughter in law and my dad at our house, and watched them open their presents. As nice as it is to be here in Canada, I'd rather be at home on christmas day witht he rest of the family. So our last day in Sun Peaks today, went for a relaxed ski, pizza for lunch and then Christmas Dinner at Powderhounds tonight. Was quieter than I expected today Tomorrow we head to Revelstoke for 2 nights
