Due to COVID-19, we experience ピンポンダッシュ quite often recently. Yamato (the black cat), Japan Post, Sagawa, etc, they are not asking me Hanko nor signature now. When I noticed the ピンポン, the box is put in front of the door and the delivery person is not in the sight:p

In Australia they don't even ring the door bell or leave parcels. Just put a 'You were not home' card in your letterbox and say they couldn't deliver it.

    Fastway Couriers - every time.
Despite having a secure parcel delivery box and being home 80% of the day.

Oh yes, they still do with me.
No wait, often now it's just by text/email rather than card.
Sometimes I just go down to the PO and ask, do you have any parcels for me? Just because I know that's where expectant parcels are going to end up.

And the shops that send the parcels say they can't deliver to a post office in the first instance, because delivery is by courier... :headbang:

I have to get everything sent to a jindy shop by courier. If auspost get hold of anything it takes a week longer minimum.

Some dodgy staff too. This year a mtb disappeared in their system for mths until a formal complaint saw it magically appear the next morning.

    Fun and informative.

Fun because, it was very easy to make friends.
Informative because it taught me that stereotypes are part of very culture.

When I went to Japan for an exchange student program, one of the other kids was a Dutch-Japanese JW. He was hoping to be relieved of door-knocking for a year, but his parents had arranged for the local JW chapter to 'take care' of him and every once in a while they took him along on their route. They were all native Japanese.
