what's with the 20 vertical meter trek back up the hill???? (Top right black run)
You overlay someone elses trail map on an existing topo map .....
Thanks for putting it onto a better elevation map VSG, I can see how off i was with the elevation markers and trails, Like I said very inaccurate but It was something fun to fill in some time (Whoops didn't notice the river there either.. Might have to move the village somewhere else haha).. The runs are just for show.. I could imagine some of you guys would come up with much better trails
Good effort matto. What are you studying at TAFE?
Just finished off a Diploma of Multimedia, fun course!
P.s: Where did you access that elevation map? Is it some sort of paid map you downloaded or is it freely accessible? Cheers.
Source of topos... http://gsp.maps.nsw.gov.au/viewer.htm
Shi.t. didn't know that was there, and I work there...... I have been using SIX. I've made quite a few of those maps over the years
It would never be viable.
Don't tell too many folks. I think it just sits in the background, quietly. SIX is carp for the kind of topo captures I usually take. Too complicated.
Hope you enjoy.
I believe this to be a brilliant and enjoyable thread Great photos and great map/topo work. Love it!!
Dreams are free and imagination should be encouraged.
More power to you VSG - i'd definitely visit for a ski
Gingera is too far out of the way anyway.
Not at all. There's a high speed gondola planned to whisk you away from the carpark at Canberra airport to the top of Gingera in about 5 mins.
Found some info through the web archive. Wonder if it ever sold?
A detailed topi of the block. Steep. Rises to over 1500m at the NW corner.
Relative to Morgan/ Half Moon.
