Does anyone have a recommendation for a goggle case to take on day trips, preferably one that can hold a spare lens, as well as sunglasses on the descent?

I realise that this comes with a healthy serve of paranoia, but I am worried about the potential for ending up on my backside while going downhill and finding that my sunnies are broken.

Heck, if there's a recommendation on goggles that come with a case, I'm open to that too, as my current goggles are an Aldi special.

I have one of those, but I'm thinking something more sacrificial that, in the event of an impact, will break but be more likely to leave the sunnies whole.

What pack do you have? In both of my packs I stash my sunnies in a safe but accessible spot - if I crash hard enough to break them I've probably got bigger problems...

Soft goggle sock inside jacket for me.
As far as a Goggle is concerned, I cannot recommend the Oakley Rose low-light goggle lenses enough for bad vis days; gamechanger IMO.

I've got the Smith version - similar rose tint and can't tell the difference between that and the Oakley version. Totally agree that it's amazing.

Edit - should probably mention that I'm super paranoid about breaking sunglasses and I always bring a cheap spare pair. They must weigh about 50g and give peace of mind.

If your sunnies are in your backpack and break from a fall the sunnies are not worth a case or you be dead from the fall anyway ;)

I have Dragon X2 goggles that came with a hard case, but I don’t take it with me anyway as it’s bulky and heavy. The goggle pocket on my Kresta 30 is on the top so it’d be pretty challenging to damage goggles in there - and I’m pretty sure your pack is similar to mine?

For sunnies I just use my old faithful ray bans which at this stage must be indestructible since I’m never gentle with them. I’d prefer to fall and break them (and my spare lens) rather than land on a hard goggle case!
