Grade 5 Ski Free Pass 2009
Victoria’s ski resorts are making it easier for families to get to the snow this year by offering every Grade 5 student in Victoria the chance to ski free at each of the five major ski resorts of Mt Hotham, Falls Creek, Mt Baw Baw, Lake Mountain and Mt Buller.
Every Grade 5 student in Victoria is eligible for the Grade 5 Ski Free pass which includes one voucher to each of the five participating resorts. The free lift ticket or snow play pass can be used with the purchase of any adult ticket on the same day. This gives Grade 5 students the chance to ski, ride or play in the snow free during the winter season.
To order the Grade 5 Ski Free pass is simple. All parents have to do is head to http://www.skivic.com/grade5skifree, register their child’s details, print off the voucher and get their child’s school to validate the pass. Once the pass has been validated, it can be redeemed once at each of the five Victorian snowfields.

The grade 5 program has been running in all western Canada resorts for well over a decade. The resorts keep agreeing to it so they must feel there's value in developing the sport for all of them.

Far far away Aussie expat
What about younger kids ?? personally I think kids should ski free until the age of 12, like most North American resorts and 7 in Japan.
