1st photos are my 2nd run just before the rain started Sunday afternoon & 2nd photos are my 1st run while the sun was still out about 10.30am. The map between the photos shows 700m vertical & 940m by the time I got back to Charlottes. 1st run was 390m of continuous snow cover (just). This is a wide open vallley for most part & would be very enjoyable after a dump being not as steep as the next two valleys. I was actually looking for West Twin Valley straight up but snow cover dictated my path. With my new Scarpa boots which went great & some pin bindings (still looking) to go with my new Black Crows Orb Freebirds, I will be spending all next season in these five valleys east of Thredbo & don't plan on skiing much in the resort.
