Very good chance the Guthega Road will be closed for a period over Summer.

A goodish section of the downstream side of the culvert over Perisher Creek gave way a while ago and will need more attention than the current concrete barriers to stabilise.

Yes, link road is in the pic.

You are going to tell me it's been like that for years now?

Hahaha, not today, I was actually looking at the creek flow just for fun.

It is a very nice culvert and not being discriminatory or anticulvertist could have also collected a pic to stash for the Bridge Thread. But thought better of it so as to not offend those who have preconceived notions of what a way over water should be.;)

Haha no idea. Was just checking it was where I thought it was. Unfortunate that it's just on the wrong side of the corner, or they could use link as the alternate. You'd hope they can do it with a partial closure and stop/go while they work on it

I certainly hope so! I'm intending on spending some time down there this summer as per usual! I don;t think it would need stop/go - its not that busy!

Yeah but they may need to have it closed to get on with the work, and just allow vehicles through as needed with a bit of delay if necessary
