Sorry about the no skiers pics, there seems to be a shortage of them around.

Freezing level at Echoland now. Wet snow settling on the road outside. It has been snowing up top all afternoon and it will be puking up top. The knee is 85% so first lifts planned for the morning.(with plenty of bracing)

No good this morning. Happo gondie closed due to wind. Up Kokusai and couldn't get any further. Wet snow but would be good up high if you could get there. Dumping now in Echoland so will give it another go tomorrow which is meant to be a blue bird day.

Saturday was my best at happo in a while. The lifts opened up around noonish and there was funk 5 to 20 cms on mush. the mush and snow bonded well actually and we could ski may good lines. Wed Thursday and Friday were better.

Bottomless pow up the top of Happo today got heavy on the lower slopes. First on the grat quad and down the ridge. No one on the hill and fresh tracks all day.

I will be there Easter (Fri,Sat,Sun) so hope it remains reasonably cold till then.

Just hope there wont be too many crowds as I'll be skiing with my 8yr old on groomed runs.
Couldnt get our itinerary to match being there mid week.

Village buses still running regularly between Happo and Goryu/47 ?

Looks really really mild for the next week but at least nice and sunny but from the 23rd it looks like winter will return for a last minute hurrah!

The 23rd through to the end of the month is looking good!

    http://wxmaps.org/pix/NHanim.html

I injured my back a month ago so I haven't been able to ride but should be able to by the 23rd so fingers crossed that the system stays on track!

Some Local crew organized a bowl session at SunAlpina-the Akiko part of friday. Was a pretty good set up with a gap bootoer to start, a few berms, and bowl at the bottom. The Bowl had a gap booter on one side and a spine set up of the other. Some great riders doing some interesting tricks,(and slams) all very creative. Fun day had by all. Also had a after party at Q tips and a Reggae party at Tracks. I went to the reggea party, which had some of the best live music I have seen in Japan. If you like reggae, ska, hip hop type stuff.

Skied with my mate today. Not only is he a good cameraman he has inventive ideas.
he strapped his camera to a ski pole he found at mc donalds! This has been done before but maybe you can understand how freaking good the day was!

C'mon Timmy, under what definition do you call that terrain in bounds ?
Its under a rope, not patrolled, not controlled.

normal definition.., patrolled, within the ski area, and not under ropes.
