Halley's Comet/Billia Bullet/Falls Express turns 30 this year. It has probably had the greatest impact on how Falls is skied and managed of all the lifts installed/upgraded in recent history. Happy 30th old girl.....

Walking up and back from lower village to bowl in a bad snow year was not fun. I wore out a new pair of bouts in aweek in 1982

I suppose the first few times I went to FC I was up Eagles & Village T, so I didn't realise that it's that old. That makes Gully Chair a museum piece.

Time for a few new lifts?

gully changed from double to triple in about 82. Not sure how much of the lift was replaced then.
Lakeside and inter will be the oldest, although I think inter got a new motor some time back.

Next "planned" lift is a realigned eagle that goes close to ski school

So, if Eagle gets shifted, then it would go over the Y's? No chance of it being swapped out for a Dopplemeyer?

I'm guessing it would move it's alignment the other way to head past Patrol Base/Monkey Bar top unloading just above Cloud 9. Provide ready access from Bowl to Ski School.
I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting....with the current asset utilisation of the lifts I can't see a business investing in new lift infrastructure. Being a simple fixed grip lift Eagle is relatively easy to keep running I imagine.

It's the first ski resort chairlift that I've ever ridden - back in 1989, my first ever ski trip!

    One exception.

Stay away from the International Poma, Don't even think about tampering with it

Same goes for International Poma, it's probably my fave lift on the hill. Touch it an karma will come.
