Somebody recently mentioned there is good quality gear to be had in one of the stores in cooma, but I forgot which shop. +1 requires good boots and fattish pattern based tourers or XCD. Figure with the crowds this weekend, we may have better luck in Cooma Friday night rather than PP's or WS on Sat am.
i will add a second vote for rhythm. Cheaper then in jindy and our experiance a couple of weeks ago when getting a weeks hire was fantastic. We got brand new ( never used) fisher outtabounds with g3 targas. For boots they kindly pulled new garmonts out of their boxes for us to find the perfect fit. I will say i have had some poorer experiances there but i get the feeling they are trying hard to meet the needs of the xc and tele hire market
Rythem in cooma, definitely cheaper than jindy but dont rate them on the service factor, sure the gear is all pretty new but make sure you're comfortable fitting your own boots/shell fit etc, depends on who you get most of the time its kids with no BC exp.
