razorback is surprisingly cooked pretty much right along, maybe just the big se face left on feathertop. huge meltage last 2 days. pretty impressed with how they kept heavenly going with aome judicious farming. interesting tho that system on wednesday could deliver......or wash it right out

Razorback usually does go before the closer sidecountry imo. More sun.
Behind the bird around to dargo bowls hold better usually.
    Have ridden cup weekend once

They're quick at getting the chairs of the lifts - already off HV and Big D and half way through Village. These lifts were turning 2 days ago!

Mustn't be much money in the budget and the maintenance guys are looking for things to do!

Get them off while there are still operators and extra labour around. Maintenance crew will be keen for a break in the next couple of weeks after a busy winter.

Does Mt Loch carpark get cleared if it snows now the resort is closed?
    If so, how often?

    Doubt it.

When I used to live up there, the road would get cleared when they got around to it during the green season. Many times it would have been shut had it been during the season.

The road is cleared by vicroads im pretty sure in green season. i was up there one November when they got 30cm overnight and Vicroads had the road cleared by about midday the day after the fall (30cm becomes 2 or 3 times that in windblown areas). but loch carpark, they wouldnt be interested. its the bairnsdale-wang trucks they are interested in serving. Seth sounds like he saw it (or didnt see it!) more often than me in green though. i dont think they will be out during the storm!

VicRoads contractors only clear between the yellow lines of the great alpine road. Any car parks or other areas is RMB responsibility.

I think they take the view that any snow will melt quickly and there aren't many visitors around in the green season.

Was up at Hotham on the weekend. Excavators up the summit I assume putting in snowmaking. I didn't see any other works happening except the lodge next to the General looks like it's being pulled down or is just falling down.

Big redevelopment supposed to be happening at Asgaard Lodge, could be the demo job happening next to the Genny.

How's the new staff accommodation underneath.
    27 double rooms....
Lucky there's 2 carpark levels above them.
