We're planning on arriving at Buller about 2-3 pm this Sunday. Being Buller, I thought it would be pretty busy - especially being a changeover day. It's also likely to be snowy/windy for added ' fun'.

So my question, is whether can add anything about their recent experiences? Especially waiting, etc.... Should we aim to arrive earlier (Midday??) to minimise the chaos?

I guess the 'tollgate' will be another issue - at least we can pre-purchase.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Oversnow is typically pretty efficient from the carpark up, it's Sunday 4pm going down when it gets congested.

Keep an eye on the weather forums - you may actually have trouble getting onto the mountain on Sunday, let alone worrying about the taxi service!
